Hello!
My name is Michael.
I’m a doctor specializing in prevention, lifestyle medicine, and mental health. Earlier in my career, I saw clients as a psychiatrist in both outpatient and inpatient settings. In more recent years, I’ve turned my attention entirely to research and writing both academic articles and a number of books.
I now also offer consultations in two areas, one on embracing a lifestyle for health, happiness, and longevity, and the other about designing your own special garden to grow some of your own food. I approach these consultations as a lifestyle medicine expert and as an experienced gardener and organic farmer.
Healthy Living Consultant, Author, and Speaker

Consultation Services
I offer two types of personalized, one-on-one consultations.
Healthy Living
Embracing a Lifestyle for Health, Happiness, and Longevity
As a Lifestyle Medicine expert, I provide one-on-one coaching sessions outside the traditional healthcare system, focusing on your health goals. Our 3 to 12 sessions will explore the six pillars of lifestyle medicine, with an emphasis on nutrition, physical activity, and overall well-being. The goal is to help you feel great about yourself and support both your physical and mental health.

Garden Design
Designing Your Own Special Garden to Grow Some of Your Own Food
I offer personalized gardening consultations to help you grow the fruits and vegetables you love. Whether it’s a simple herb planter, raised beds, or a full garden, I’ll design a plan tailored to your space, climate, and needs. Through 2 to 6 sessions, I’ll provide expert advice, helping you draft the perfect garden plan. You can choose to build it yourself, with my help, or hire local landscapers. Let’s grow delicious, nutritious veggies together!
